About the Role

As a Remote Electrical Designer, you will collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and clients across the United States to develop complete electrical layouts for commercial, industrial, and renewable‑energy projects. Your designs will be delivered through industry‑standard software, reviewed in virtual meetings, and integrated into BIM models that drive construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed single‑line diagrams, panel schedules, conduit and cable routing, and load calculations.
• Translate client requirements and architectural drawings into accurate electrical design packages.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams using cloud‑based collaboration tools (e.g., Autodesk BIM 360, Bluebeam, Microsoft Teams).
• Ensure all designs comply with NEC, IEC, and local code requirements.
• Perform design reviews, incorporate feedback, and issue final construction documents.
• Support field engineers during installation by providing clarifications and on‑demand design adjustments.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on electrical design experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, or similar CAD platforms; familiarity with ETAP or SKM PowerTools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of NEC 2023, IEC standards, and local jurisdictional codes.
