About the Role

As a Remote Substance Abuse Counselor, you’ll deliver compassionate, evidence-based counseling services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This fully remote position allows you to connect with clients through secure video conferencing platforms, develop personalized treatment plans, and guide people through their recovery journey. You’ll work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care while enjoying the flexibility of working from anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions via telehealth platforms
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client assessments
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
• Educate clients and families about addiction, recovery, and coping strategies
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
• Stay current with best practices in addiction treatment and recovery support

Requirements

Education & Credentials

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Valid state licensure as an LCPC, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent
• CASAC, CADC, or other relevant substance abuse certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in addiction counseling or related field

Technical Requirements

• Reliable high-speed internet connection
• Private, quiet workspace for conducting telehealth sessions
• Computer with webcam and HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in a remote setting

Salary Range
