About the Role
As a Remote Cybersecurity Specialist, you will become a frontline defender for our organization’s infrastructure, data, and client trust. You will operate within a collaborative Security Operations Center (SOC) model, leveraging cutting-edge tools to monitor, analyze, and neutralize threats in real-time. This isn’t just about responding to alerts; it’s about proactively hunting for vulnerabilities, strengthening security postures, and shaping the future of our defensive strategies. You will report to the Head of Security and work with engineers and IT teams globally to embed security into every layer of our technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Incident Response: 24/7 vigilance through SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike). Lead the triage, investigation, and remediation of security incidents, producing detailed post-incident reports.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular scans, prioritize findings based on risk, and coordinate with development/IT teams to ensure timely patching and configuration hardening.
- Security Architecture Support: Assist in designing and reviewing secure network architectures, cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), and application deployment pipelines.
- Threat Intelligence & Hunting: Analyze emerging threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Develop and execute proactive threat hunts to uncover latent risks within our environment.
- Policy & Compliance: Help maintain and enforce security policies, ensuring adherence to frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and GDPR. Assist with audit preparations.
- Security Awareness: Contribute to developing training content and simulating phishing campaigns to foster a security-first culture across the remote workforce.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity operations, incident response, or security engineering role.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, EDR/XDR platforms, and network traffic analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).

- Experience with cloud security principles and at least one major cloud provider’s security services.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting incidents and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Eligibility to work in any country within the primary time zones of the Americas and EMEA (some overlap required for team syncs).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CISSP, GCIH, or GCIA.
- Scripting/automation experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash to streamline security tasks.
- Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevSecOps practices.
