About the Role

This is not a field position. As a Remote Electrical Consultant, you will provide expert guidance, detailed estimates, and project planning support from your home office. You will be the electrical authority for our clients and internal teams, analyzing blueprints, calculating material and labor costs, ensuring code compliance (NEC), and troubleshooting complex system designs virtually. Your expertise will directly impact project feasibility, budgeting, and safety outcomes without ever needing to step on a job site.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical take-offs and cost estimations for residential, commercial, and industrial projects using digital blueprints and plans.
• Conduct virtual client consultations to discuss scope, code requirements (NEC, local amendments), and project logistics.
• Review and validate electrical designs for compliance, efficiency, and safety.
• Prepare clear, professional proposals and technical documentation for client review.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients via video conferencing, email, and collaborative project management platforms.
• Stay current on National Electrical Code (NEC) updates and local jurisdictional trends.

Requirements

We need a proactive, licensed professional who thrives in a digital, autonomous setting. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with impeccable communication skills.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Active U.S. Electrician License: A valid, current journeyman or master electrician license in at least one U.S. state.
• Proven Estimation/Planning Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical experience, with at least 2 years focused on estimating, planning, or foreman duties.
• Mastery of the NEC: Deep, practical knowledge of the National Electrical Code and ability to apply it to complex designs.
• Tech Proficiency: Expert-level skills in reading digital blueprints (PDF, DWG), Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, Accubid, ProEst). Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
• Excellent Communication: Superior written and verbal skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients and team members.

Salary Range

We offer a highly competitive salary commensurate with experience and expertise. For this full-time remote role, the annual base salary range is $65,000 – $85,000 USD. This position is eligible for a performance-based quarterly bonus tied to project accuracy and client satisfaction metrics.
