Remote Safety Manager – Shape a Culture of Safety from Anywhere in the U.S.

Lead critical safety initiatives and protect workforces without ever commuting. We are seeking a proactive, certified Safety Manager to design, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs for our distributed team and client sites. This is a fully remote, high-impact role where your expertise directly prevents incidents and fosters a culture of care.

About the Role

As our Remote Safety Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our operational integrity. You will develop and manage safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure full compliance with OSHA and industry-specific regulations—all from your home office. Your primary mission is to safeguard our employees and contractors through training, incident investigation, and continuous improvement of our safety management systems. You will collaborate with HR, operations, and leadership teams across the country, using digital tools for audits, reporting, and training delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update company-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with federal (OSHA) and state regulations.
• Conduct virtual and on-site (as needed) hazard analyses, safety audits, and risk assessments for various operational environments.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop actionable corrective/preventative plans.
• Design and deliver engaging remote safety training modules and toolbox talks for all employee levels.
• Maintain and analyze safety metrics, KPIs, and injury/illness logs to identify trends and report to senior management.
• Serve as the primary safety liaison for insurance carriers, regulatory agencies, and clients during audits and inspections.
• Manage the safety budget, vendor relationships for safety equipment, and program documentation.

Requirements

We need a detail-oriented professional with a passion for prevention and a consultative mindset. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing safety programs in a multi-site or remote-capable environment.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive safety management experience, with at least 2 years in a role with remote oversight responsibilities.
• Expert knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and/or 1926 standards, MSHA, and other relevant safety regulations.
• Proficiency with safety management software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, SafetyCulture) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication skills for virtual presentations, report writing, and influencing without direct authority.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in the construction, manufacturing, or logistics sectors.
• Background in leading Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 certification processes.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for critical site audits or incident response.

Salary Range

$85,000 – $115,000 USD/year (Based on experience, certifications, and geographic market adjustments).
