About the Role

Wellness Solutions Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Remote Substance Abuse Counselor to join our expanding virtual team. In this pivotal role, you will deliver evidence-based counseling services to clients struggling with substance use disorders, fostering hope and facilitating recovery through personalized, client-centered care. You will utilize secure telehealth platforms to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, facilitate group and individual therapy sessions, and provide crucial support throughout the recovery process.

Requirements

A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related mental health field.
*

Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist in the State of California.
*

Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience providing substance abuse counseling, preferably within an outpatient or community-based setting.

Proven expertise in evidence-based practices for substance abuse treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Informed Care.

Strong knowledge of California’s substance abuse treatment regulations and best practices.

Exceptional communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with secure video conferencing and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
