About the Role

As a Remote Estimator, you will play a critical role in our pre-construction process by analyzing project plans, developing detailed cost estimates, and ensuring our bids remain competitive. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide accurate pricing for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to high-impact construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and project scopes to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals for upcoming projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure estimates align with project goals and client requirements.
• Utilize estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage, or Bluebeam) to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
• Conduct takeoffs and calculate costs for concrete, steel, electrical, plumbing, and other construction components.
• Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market conditions and vendor pricing.
• Support project managers during contract negotiations and change order evaluations.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure precise cost calculations.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with remote teams and clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams).
• Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Associate Constructor (AC) credentials.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this Remote Estimator position is $50,000 – $70,000 USD/year, depending on experience and project complexity. Additional bonuses or incentives may be offered for exceptional performance.
