About the Role

At GlobalFire Engineering, you will work directly with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to embed fire safety strategies into every phase of development. Your designs will not only satisfy stringent regulatory requirements but also incorporate performance‑based engineering concepts that optimize cost and efficiency. You will lead the creation of sprinkler layouts, smoke control systems, fire alarm specifications, and egress protection plans, ensuring each solution is both compliant and tailored to the client’s unique needs. In addition, you will conduct detailed hazard assessments, prepare comprehensive technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders across diverse industries, translating complex engineering data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed fire protection schematics and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and specialized fire dynamics software such as Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS).
• Perform comprehensive fire hazard analyses, including smoke spread modeling, thermal analysis, and occupant evacuation analysis, to recommend robust mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in North America, Europe, and Asia, providing timely feedback and ensuring design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review construction documents and conduct virtual site inspections to verify that installed systems align precisely with design intent and code requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications, calculation reports, and client presentation decks that clearly communicate engineering solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Maintain a continuous knowledge base of evolving fire codes, industry publications, and emerging technologies, integrating best practices into all deliverables.
• Support business development efforts by contributing to proposal writing, cost estimating, and client relationship management.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory.
• Minimum of three years of professional experience designing fire safety systems for commercial, industrial, or institutional projects, with at least one project involving high‑rise or large‑scale facilities.
• Proficiency with fire modeling tools (e.g., FDS), CAD platforms (AutoCAD, Revit), and Microsoft Office Suite for report generation and presentations.
• In‑depth knowledge of NFPA codes, International Building Code (IBC), and ISO fire safety standards, and the ability to apply them creatively to complex challenges.
