Lead a high-performing team from anywhere in the world. We’re seeking a strategic and empathetic Manager to own operational excellence and drive team success in a fully remote, fast-paced environment. If you thrive on building systems, developing talent, and delivering measurable results with complete location freedom, this is your opportunity.

About the Role

As a Manager of Team Operations & Strategy, you will be the cornerstone of our team’s productivity and morale. This isn’t a micromanagement role; it’s about empowerment. You will design and optimize workflows, manage team performance and development, and serve as the primary communication hub between your team and senior leadership. Your core mission is to create an environment where talented individuals can do their best work, consistently meet ambitious goals, and feel deeply supported in their professional growth. You will own the “how” for your team, translating strategic objectives into clear, actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development: Coach, mentor, and evaluate a team of 8-12 professionals. Conduct regular 1:1s, facilitate career development conversations, and build a culture of continuous feedback and psychological safety.
  • Operational Excellence: Design, implement, and refine team processes, project management systems, and reporting dashboards to maximize efficiency and transparency. Identify bottlenecks and drive data-informed improvements.
  • Strategic Execution: Partner with senior leadership to break down quarterly and annual goals. Translate high-level strategy into team-level OKRs or KPIs, ensuring alignment and clarity on priorities.
  • Performance & Analytics: Track team and individual performance against goals. Prepare and present regular operational reports, providing insights on productivity, project health, and resource allocation.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Foster seamless cross-functional collaboration. Represent your team in leadership meetings and ensure consistent, transparent communication up, down, and across the organization.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Play a key role in hiring—writing job descriptions, interviewing, and making hiring decisions. Own the onboarding experience for new hires to ensure rapid integration and productivity.

Requirements

We are looking for a proven leader with a track record of building and scaling effective remote teams. The ideal candidate is part strategist, part coach, and part process engineer.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a people management role leading a remote or hybrid team.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing operational processes that improve team efficiency and output.
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, ClickUp) and data analysis (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, basic BI tools).
  • A servant-leader mindset. You are driven by the success of your team members and believe in enabling their autonomy.
  • Self-starter with impeccable organizational skills and the ability to thrive with minimal supervision in a fully asynchronous environment.

Nice-to-Have Attributes

  • Experience in a SaaS, tech, or fast-scaling startup environment.
  • Background in operations, project management, or a client-facing service delivery role prior to moving into management.
  • Certifications in management, agile methodologies, or operational leadership.
  • Experience with OKR (Objectives and Key Results) frameworks.

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in fair, transparent, and competitive compensation. The estimated base salary range for this Manager role is $95,000 – $135,000 USD annually, based on experience, location-independent benchmarks, and the strategic impact of the position.
