<a href="https://wehired.agency/jobs/" style="color:var(--primary-color); font-weight:600;">Remote</a> Construction Laborer: Build Your Career from Home with Flexibility & Growth!

Meta Description: Tired of the daily grind on job sites? Your hands-on construction knowledge is gold in our remote operations hub. We’re hiring a detail-oriented Construction Laborer to support project success from home—managing schedules, materials, and compliance without ever picking up a hammer on site. If you’re organized, tech-savvy, and ready for a stable remote career with upward mobility, this is your chance to pivot your skills into a sustainable, high-demand role.

About the Role: Your Construction Expertise, Remotely Applied

Forget the traditional image of a construction laborer solely on a physical site. In this pivotal 100% Remote Construction Laborer position, you become the logistical backbone of our projects from your home office. You will translate your practical understanding of construction sequences, safety protocols, and material handling into digital coordination and administrative excellence. Your day involves ensuring that the right resources, documentation, and timelines are flawlessly aligned for our field teams, directly contributing to on-time, on-budget project delivery. This is a unique opportunity for former crew members, skilled trades helpers, or site managers who seek to apply their industry insight in a stable, office-based remote environment that values your foundational knowledge.

Core Remote Responsibilities:

  • Project Logistics & Scheduling Support: Assist project managers in creating and maintaining detailed work schedules, tracking delivery timelines for materials and equipment, and coordinating virtual pre-task planning meetings with field supervisors.
  • Materials & Inventory Management: Monitor digital inventory systems, process purchase orders for tools and supplies, verify specifications against project plans, and troubleshoot discrepancies in material orders before they reach the site.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Prepare and organize digital packets for permits, safety plans, and inspection reports. Ensure all field-submitted daily logs, timecards, and quality control photos are correctly filed and accessible.
  • Quality Control Coordination: Schedule virtual walkthroughs, compile punch list items from field reports, and track resolution status for non-conforming work, acting as the central communication hub.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Liaison: Serve as the primary remote point of contact for administrative queries, facilitating clear communication between project management, suppliers, and subcontracting crews.

What We’re Looking For: The Remote-Ready Construction Professional

This role is not for a complete beginner to the construction world. We need someone who has been there, done that on a job site and now excels in a digital setting. You understand the vocabulary, the pressures, and the critical path of a build because you’ve lived it.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in the construction industry as a laborer, skilled helper, carpenter’s assistant, or in a site coordinator role.
  • Proven ability with construction software: Proficiency in at least one project management platform (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Buildertrend, Autodesk Construction Cloud) and strong Microsoft Office/Google Workspace skills.
  • Exceptional organizational & analytical skills: You can parse a blueprint, read a spec sheet, and cross-reference a delivery manifest with eagle-eyed accuracy.
  • Clear communicator: Fluent in written and verbal English. You can write concise, professional emails and articulate logistical issues clearly over video calls.
  • Self-motivated remote worker: A dedicated home office setup with reliable high-speed internet and the discipline to manage tasks with minimal supervision.

Preferred: Experience in commercial construction, residential development, or civil infrastructure. Familiarity with OSHA 10-hour certification and basic document management systems.

Compensation & Benefits: Invested in Your Remote Success

We believe in rewarding deep industry knowledge with exceptional remote-work compensation. This is a full-time, exempt position.

Salary Range:

$45,000 – $62,000 USD/year

Final offer is commensurate with your proven construction experience, software proficiency, and interview performance. We conduct annual market-based salary reviews.

Comprehensive Remote Benefits Package:

  • Health & Wellness: 100% employer-paid premium for medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees. Plus a generous HSA contribution.
  • Financial Security: 401(k) plan with a 4% company match, immediate vesting. Company-paid life and disability insurance.
  • True Flexibility: Core hours of 10 AM – 3 PM local time for collaboration, with complete flexibility outside that. Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) that accrues from day one, plus 12 company holidays.
  • Growth & Development: Annual stipend for professional development, certifications, or conferences. Clear path for advancement into Project Engineer or Project Manager roles.
  • Remote Work Perks: Quarterly “connect” stipend for home office upgrades, high-speed internet reimbursement, and a top-of-the-line laptop provided.
  • Culture: A supportive, collaborative team that values your construction background. Regular virtual team-building and an annual in-person retreat (fully paid).

How to Apply: Show Us Your Construction Mind

Ready to trade the hard hat for a headset and apply your trade skills in a new way? We want to see your practical experience translated into a professional narrative.

Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter (max 300 words) that addresses the following:

  1. Describe a specific logistical or material problem you witnessed or solved on a construction site. How would you have prevented or documented it remotely?
  2. What construction software have you used, and what was your favorite feature for keeping a project on track?
  3. Why does a remote role appeal to you now, after having worked in the field?

Applications without a thoughtful cover letter addressing these points will not be considered. Our hiring team, which includes senior project managers, will review all submissions. Qualified candidates will move to a video interview process to assess communication and problem-solving skills.

We are an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees, regardless of background, experience, or where you choose to work from.
