About the Role

As a Remote Civil Engineer, you will become a pivotal member of our project delivery teams. You will be responsible for the complete engineering lifecycle—from initial feasibility studies and conceptual design through detailed analysis, construction documentation, and construction support. Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design, calculations, and analysis for civil site development, roadways, drainage, and utility systems using industry-standard software.
• Prepare detailed construction plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits (occasional, local to project sites) and provide construction oversight and problem-solving support.
• Ensure all designs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including ADA, stormwater management, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (structural, environmental, geotechnical) to integrate project components seamlessly.
• Lead technical reviews and mentor junior engineering staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation in our cloud-based project management system.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design, preferably in transportation, land development, or water resources.
• Mastery of engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, or similar.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote client and team interaction.
• Must be a U.S. resident and possess a reliable high-speed internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (M.S. or M.Eng).
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes in a civil context.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Prior experience working fully remotely in an engineering consultancy.

Salary Range

Based on experience, licensure, and geographic cost-of-living adjustments, the estimated annual salary for this position is between $95,000 and $135,000 USD.
