About the Role

As our Remote Electrical Designer, you’ll be at the heart of designing complex electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop detailed schematics, layouts, and specifications for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and control systems. Your designs must adhere to strict building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards while optimizing cost and performance. This role offers the flexibility to work from your preferred location while contributing to impactful projects that power communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive electrical design plans and drawings using AutoCAD or Revit MEP.
• Perform load calculations, power system analysis, and equipment sizing.
• Ensure all designs comply with NEC, local building codes, and project specifications.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams via digital tools and meetings.
• Review and coordinate with contractors during construction phases.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Designer or similar role (3+ years minimum).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or equivalent design software.
• Deep understanding of NEC, local electrical codes, and design standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• P.E. License (or eligible for licensure).
• Experience with sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present designs clearly.
• Experience with BIM collaboration platforms.
