About the Role

As our Remote IT Manager, you will be the architect and guardian of our global technology ecosystem. Operating from your home office, you will oversee network security, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), system administration, and the IT help desk function for a growing team of 200+ across three continents. Your mission is to ensure maximum uptime, robust data protection, and seamless tooling that enables our product and business teams to innovate without constraint. You will report directly to the CTO and manage a team of 5+ senior IT specialists.

Key Responsibilities

You will design, implement, and manage IT policies and infrastructure that support a fully remote-first company. This includes leading cybersecurity initiatives, managing vendor relationships for SaaS tools and hardware, optimizing cloud costs and performance, and spearheading the automation of routine operations. A core part of your role will be mentoring your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and acting as the primary escalation point for all critical technical incidents. You will also be responsible for IT budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.

Competitive Salary Range

We believe in transparent and equitable compensation. For this critical leadership role, we offer a base salary range of $90,000 – $130,000 USD/year, commensurate with your experience, geographic location, and proven track record. Requirements

Technical Expertise & Experience

You must have at least 7 years of progressive IT experience, with a minimum of 4 years in a managerial or leadership capacity. Expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), enterprise network security (firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust models), and identity/access management (Okta, Azure AD) is non-negotiable. Proven experience with ITIL or similar service management frameworks, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and managing enterprise SaaS stacks (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom) is essential. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are a plus.

You must be an exceptional communicator, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical executives and providing clear direction to your team. Experience managing a fully remote or distributed team is highly desirable.
