<a href="https://wehired.agency/jobs/" style="color:var(--primary-color); font-weight:600;">Remote</a> Medical and Health Services Manager – Shape the Future of Healthcare from Home

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Medical and Health Services Manager to oversee and optimize our clinical operations and administrative functions entirely remotely. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be the architect of efficiency, ensuring our healthcare services are delivered with the highest standards of quality, compliance, and compassion, all while enjoying the ultimate flexibility of a work-from-home career.

About the Role & Your Impact

As our remote Medical and Health Services Manager, you will serve as the operational backbone of our healthcare delivery model. Moving beyond traditional clinic confines, you will leverage technology and data-driven leadership to manage clinical teams, streamline workflows, and oversee critical programs from your home office. Your decisions directly impact patient safety, staff satisfaction, and the financial health of our organization. You will be the connective tissue between medical staff, administrative departments, and executive leadership, ensuring seamless, high-quality care delivery in a distributed environment.

Key Leadership Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive operational policies and procedures that ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, CMS) in a remote context.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of clinical supervisors, administrators, and support staff across multiple locations, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for health service departments, analyzing data to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between medical staff, department heads, and senior leadership, facilitating clear communication and resolving complex operational challenges.
  • Implement and optimize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other health IT tools to support remote clinical workflows and data integrity.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives, patient satisfaction programs, and risk management protocols, using data analytics to identify trends and drive improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed operational reports, performance metrics, and forecasts to executive leadership and governing bodies.

What You Bring: Qualifications & Experience

We need a seasoned leader with a proven track record in healthcare operations management. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable analyzing a P&L statement as they are coaching a clinical team through a process change.

Required Credentials & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field. Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, MPH) strongly preferred.
  • Certification: Certified Medical Manager (CMM), Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS), or Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) is a significant plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations or administrative management, with at least 3 years in a formal leadership or managerial role. Experience managing remote or distributed teams is highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis), and healthcare data analytics platforms. Proven ability to learn and implement new software.
  • Core Competencies: Expert knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Joint Commission standards), budgeting/financial management, quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma), and strategic planning.

The Total Package: Compensation & Benefits

This is a senior-level, exempt position with a highly competitive salary reflecting the strategic impact of the role.

Salary Range

$110,000 – $155,000 USD/year

Final compensation will be commensurate with experience, certifications, and proven track record of leadership in healthcare operations.

Comprehensive Remote Benefits

  • Total Location Freedom: Work from anywhere within your country of employment. No commute, no office overhead.
  • Robust Health Benefits: Premium medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents, with a significant company contribution.
  • Financial Wellness: 401(k) plan with company match, annual performance-based bonus, and equity/stock options in our growing organization.
  • Generous PTO: 4+ weeks of paid vacation, 10+ paid holidays, and a flexible sick leave policy to ensure true work-life harmony.
  • Professional Growth: Annual stipend for conferences, certifications, and continuing education. Clear path for executive advancement.
  • Home Office Stipend: One-time allowance to set up your ergonomic, productive home workspace.
  • Wellness & Support: Access to mental health resources, wellness programs, and a supportive leadership team that values sustainable performance.

Our Culture & The Remote Advantage

We are a mission-driven organization that believes talent, not geography, defines excellence. Our culture is built on trust, autonomy, and results. As a fully remote leader, you will be empowered with the tools and support to succeed, while enjoying the unparalleled flexibility to design your workday around your life. We champion asynchronous collaboration where possible, deep work, and outcomes over hours logged. You will join a diverse, passionate team of healthcare innovators who are committed to making a tangible difference in patients’ lives, regardless of where we log in from.

If you are a strategic thinker, a compassionate leader, and are ready to redefine what healthcare management looks like in a distributed world, we want to hear from you. This is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to build the future of accessible, efficient, and compassionate healthcare from the comfort of your home.
