About the Role

As a Remote Electrical Project Manager, you will serve as the central command for multifaceted electrical projects, from initial planning and budgeting through final commissioning and closeout. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to all technical specifications, safety protocols (including OSHA and NFPA 70E), and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

Project Lifecycle Management

You will develop and own comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, resource allocation, and cost estimates. You will monitor progress against milestones, proactively identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement mitigation strategies. Your expertise will guide the technical review of drawings, specifications, and change orders, ensuring all work complies with NEC, IEEE, and client-specific codes.

Financial & Contractual Oversight

You will manage project budgets with precision, tracking labor, materials, and subcontractor costs to maintain profitability. This includes preparing and reviewing invoices, change order negotiations, and final account reconciliation. You will ensure all contractual obligations are met and documented, acting as a key safeguard for company and client interests.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Communication

You will lead a distributed team of engineers, field supervisors, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused environment. Daily coordination via video conferences and project management software will be key. You will provide clear, regular status updates to clients and senior management, translating technical details into actionable business insights.

Requirements

• Non-Negotiable Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in electrical construction or utility project management, with a proven track record of managing projects valued at $5M+.
• Technical Acumen: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. PE license is a strong advantage. Expert-level knowledge of electrical systems (medium/high voltage, substations, transmission, or large commercial/industrial).
• Proven Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing subcontractor relationships, and resolving complex field issues.
• Software Proficiency: Mastery of project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), financial tracking tools, and the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
• Remote Ready: A dedicated, quiet home office with reliable high-speed internet. Exceptional self-discipline, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a asynchronous work environment.
• Travel: Willingness for occasional travel (estimated 10-20%) to project sites for critical milestones, client meetings, and safety audits.

Compensation & Benefits
