Join a dynamic Austin-based team dedicated to transforming lives through compassionate, evidence-based care. We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Counselor who is not only clinically skilled but also deeply motivated to foster resilience and healing in a community that values your expertise and professional growth.

About the Role & Our Mission

As a core member of our counseling team, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals, couples, and families navigating a spectrum of challenges—from anxiety and depression to trauma and life transitions. We operate from a client-centered, integrative framework, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. Your role extends beyond the therapy room; you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers to ensure holistic client care. We prioritize a manageable caseload to allow for deep clinical work, thorough documentation, and your own professional rejuvenation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments, diagnose mental health conditions (using DSM-5), and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based individual, couples, and family therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical notes in our secure electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Participate actively in weekly team supervision, case consultations, and practice meetings.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence.

Requirements: The Qualities We Seek

We are looking for a dedicated professional who meets the following criteria:

Mandatory Credentials & Experience

  • Active, unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent license in the state of Texas.
  • Master’s degree (M.S./M.A.) in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure, direct clinical experience in a community mental health, private practice, or hospital setting.
  • Proven experience with diverse populations and a strong foundation in cultural humility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in EHR systems.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with telehealth platforms and comfort with hybrid (in-person/remote) service delivery.
  • Certification or significant training in a specialized modality (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, ACT).
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish highly desirable).
  • A collaborative spirit and a commitment to team-based care.

Compensation & Benefits: Investing in You

We believe that to provide exceptional care, we must first support our clinicians. This is a full-time, salaried position with a strong benefits package.

Salary Range

$48,000 – $68,000 USD/year
The final offer will be determined by your years of licensed experience, specialized skills, and full-time equivalency. We also offer opportunities for productivity-based incentives above base salary.

Comprehensive Benefits Package Includes:

  • Health & Wellness: 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees; generous options for dependents.
  • Time Off: 4 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually, plus 10 paid holidays and 5 sick days.
  • Professional Growth: Annual $1,500 stipend for continuing education, conferences, and workshops. Regular paid clinical supervision and peer consultation.
  • Financial Security: 401(k) plan with a 4% company match, life insurance, and short/long-term disability.
  • Additional Perks: Wellness stipend, flexible scheduling options, student loan repayment assistance program (up to $100/month), and a supportive, non-judgmental team culture.
