About the Role

In this role, you will be the face of our company, ensuring that products reach their destinations on time and in perfect condition. As a Remote Light Truck Driver, you’ll operate a light truck (typically Class 1 or 2) to transport a variety of cargo. You’ll use advanced routing software to plan efficient trips, minimizing fuel costs and delivery times. Our remote model means you can work from your home base, eliminating the need for a daily commute to a central terminal. You’ll receive real-time updates and support from our dispatch team via mobile app, keeping you connected and informed throughout your shift. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Safe operation of a light truck, adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues.
• Loading, securing, and unloading cargo, ensuring proper handling of fragile or hazardous materials.
• Utilizing GPS and company routing software to determine the most efficient delivery routes.
• Maintaining accurate delivery records, including pick-up/delivery times, mileage, and customer signatures.
• Communicating professionally with customers, providing excellent service and resolving any delivery concerns.
• Performing routine vehicle maintenance such as checking oil, tires, and fluid levels.
• Reporting any accidents, incidents, or vehicle malfunctions immediately to dispatch.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent for light trucks (Class A or B, depending on vehicle weight).
• Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a delivery or logistics setting.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and to bend, stoop, and climb in and out of the truck.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and navigation applications.
• Reliable access to a well-maintained light truck (if not using a company-provided vehicle). We offer both options: company trucks or driver-owned vehicles with a monthly allowance.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
