Salary Range

Estimated Annual Compensation: $95,000 – $125,000 USD (depending on experience). This role also includes a comprehensive benefits package and performance-based incentives.

About the Role

As our Remote IT Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our technology operations, responsible for overseeing all aspects of our IT infrastructure, security, and service delivery. You will manage a distributed team of IT professionals, develop long-term tech roadmaps, and ensure our systems are resilient, efficient, and aligned with our business objectives. Your leadership will directly enable our remote workforce and support our mission to deliver exceptional products and services to a national clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of system administrators, network engineers, and support specialists in a remote environment.
• Develop and enforce IT security policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO).
• Manage the IT budget, vendor relationships, and procurement of hardware, software, and cloud services.
• Spearhead disaster recovery planning and ensure business continuity for critical systems.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand their technology needs and deliver scalable solutions.
• Drive initiatives to improve system performance, automate processes, and enhance user experience for a remote workforce.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2+ years in a managerial or team lead role.
• Proven expertise in managing hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and on-premise infrastructure.
• Strong background in IT security, including firewalls, intrusion detection, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
• Hands-on experience with network administration, VoIP systems, and remote access technologies (VPN, Zero Trust).
• Excellent knowledge of ITIL framework principles for service management.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and project management skills, with a track record of leading successful tech projects from conception to deployment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
