About the Role

This isn’t your typical restaurant floor. As a Remote Waiter/Waitress, you’ll guide guests through exclusive virtual tasting menus, manage reservations for high-end private dining events, and coordinate with remote chefs and sommeliers in real time. You’ll work with top-tier restaurant brands that have pivoted to immersive digital experiences—from wine-pairing masterclasses to multi-course dinner parties streamed into guests’ homes. You are the warm, professional face (and voice) that ensures every virtual guest feels valued and well-cared-for, all while working entirely remotely.
Your day might include welcoming a couple celebrating an anniversary via video call, answering questions about ingredients, timing the courses perfectly with the kitchen team, and handling post-meal feedback. You’ll use specialized platforms for order management, tipping, and communication—no heavy trays to carry, just an engaging personality and strong multitasking skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat virtual guests in a digital waiting room or live-streamed dining table.
• Explain the menu, specials, and dietary accommodations via video or chat.
• Coordinate with remote kitchen staff to ensure timely course delivery (via scheduled meal kits or live cooking feeds).
• Process orders, payments, and tips through our integrated system.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with empathy and efficiency.
• Maintain a lively, professional atmosphere; upsell premium experiences or add-ons.
• Document feedback to improve the virtual dining experience.

Requirements

Must-Haves

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a waiter, waitress, or in customer-facing hospitality (remote or in-person).
• Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet workspace, and a professional webcam/mic setup.
• Fluency in English (additional languages like Spanish, French, or Mandarin are a huge bonus).
• Comfortable using Zoom, Slack, and restaurant-specific POS tools (training provided).
• Excellent verbal communication, memory for orders, and a genuine love for serving people.

Salary & Compensation

Estimated Salary Range: $30,000 – $45,000 USD per year (base pay + performance tips).
Because remote waitstaff typically earn a flat base with added gratuity from guests (tips processed via the platform), your total can exceed the base range during peak seasons or high-volume events. We also offer quarterly bonuses based on guest satisfaction scores.
