About the Role & Your Impact

In this full-time position, you will provide comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments and interventions for infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents. You will work within a state-of-the-art clinic setting, with some opportunities for hybrid/telehealth based on client needs. Your day will be a blend of direct 1:1 therapy, family coaching, and interdisciplinary team collaboration with occupational and physical therapists, developmental pediatricians, and educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial evaluations and re-assessments to diagnose communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver engaging, play-based, and goal-oriented therapy sessions tailored to each child’s unique needs and family goals.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, progress notes, and billing in a timely manner.
  • Consult and train parents, caregivers, and school staff to facilitate carryover of skills into natural environments.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development to ensure the highest standard of care.

What You Bring: Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (M.S. or M.A.) in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathology endorsement OR active Illinois Clinical Fellowship (CF) license with supervision availability.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • BLS/CPR Certification.
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license and reliable transportation for potential home-based visits.

Preferred Experience & Attributes:

  • 1-3 years of pediatric experience, preferably in a clinic or early intervention setting. Strong CF candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with a variety of diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, phonological disorders, and receptive/expressive language delays.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and AAC implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A playful, creative spirit that connects with children and families.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range:

$60,000 – $85,000 USD/year (Based on experience, credentials, and full-time caseload. Potential for additional income through optional weekend hours).
