About the Role

As Director of Clinical Services, you will be the strategic architect and operational leader for all clinical departments within our New York location. You will oversee the seamless integration of clinical operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance. This role demands a leader who can balance clinical expertise with strong operational acumen to optimize workflows, manage budgets effectively, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive clinical service strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage clinical department directors and managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission) and internal policies across clinical operations.
  • Optimize clinical workflows, resource allocation, and patient flow to enhance efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with nursing, medical, therapy, and support service departments to coordinate care and improve patient experiences.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, track performance metrics, and report on clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Champion patient safety initiatives, quality improvement projects, and staff training programs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare leadership, with at least 5 years in a Director or equivalent clinical leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multi-disciplinary clinical teams and complex healthcare environments.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare regulations (CMS, Joint Commission, state licensing) and clinical best practices.
  • Exceptional strategic planning, financial management, and operational problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Current state RN license (or equivalent) and eligibility for licensure in New York.
