About the Role: The Critical Edge of Care

In our bustling ICU, you’ll be responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for critically ill patients. Your core responsibilities include:

Performing thorough physical assessments and monitoring vital signs, lab results, and patient conditions.

Administering complex medications (including vasopressors, sedatives, and antibiotics) and managing advanced life support protocols.
*

Utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to recognize changes in patient status and initiate timely interventions.
*

Collaborating closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other nurses to develop and execute individualized care plans.
*

Providing expert nursing care for patients on mechanical ventilation, dialysis, and other life-sustaining technologies.
*

Maintaining meticulous and accurate documentation of all patient care, including interventions, responses, and progress notes.

Requirements: Expertise for the Edge

To excel in this demanding role, you must possess:

Current, active, and unrestricted New York State RN license.
*

Minimum of 2 years of recent, progressive experience in a critical care/ICU setting (ICU, CCU, MICU, PCU).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 6 months of hire.

Demonstrated proficiency in critical care nursing skills, including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and complex medication administration.
