About the Role

As an Information Security Analyst at our New York City office, you will play a crucial role in protecting our organization from cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring our networks for security breaches, investigating violations, and implementing measures to protect our data and systems. Your work will involve staying updated on the latest security trends and technologies, conducting regular security assessments, and collaborating with other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches and investigate violations
• Install and use software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect sensitive information
• Prepare reports that document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures
• Stay current on IT security trends and news
• Recommend security enhancements and purchases

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven work experience as an Information Security Analyst or similar role
• Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques
• Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
• Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact
• Knowledge of computer forensic tools and techniques
• Analytical mind with problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is typically between $85,000 and $120,000 USD per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
