About the Role
You will serve as a key technical liaison between our IT department and clinical teams. Your primary mission is to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance the health information systems that our doctors, nurses, and administrators rely on every day. This isn’t just a desk-side support job; it’s a strategic position where your technical expertise in Electronic Health Records (EHR), medical devices, and data integrity protocols will streamline workflows and safeguard sensitive patient information. You will work on-site at our Austin headquarters, embedded within the healthcare ecosystem to understand real-world challenges and implement effective technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- EHR System Management: Provide second-level support, configuration, and optimization for our Epic EHR platform, including user management, template building, and report generation.
- Clinical Systems Integration: Ensure seamless interoperability between the EHR, laboratory information systems (LIS), radiology systems (RIS/PACS), and pharmacy systems.
- Health Information Security: Enforce HIPAA and HITECH compliance through access controls, audit log reviews, and security patching for all clinical applications.
- Workflow Analysis & Training: Collaborate with nursing and physician leaders to analyze clinical workflows, identify technology gaps, and develop targeted end-user training materials.
- Project Support: Participate in the rollout of new health IT initiatives, such as telehealth platform expansion or mobile health (mHealth) application integration, from planning through post-launch support.
- Data Quality & Governance: Assist in data validation and cleaning efforts to ensure accurate clinical documentation for quality reporting and research.

- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD) and medical terminology.
- In-depth knowledge of HIPAA security rules and their technical implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex, multi-system issues under pressure.
