About the Role

As a Remote Veterinarian at VetVirtual, you will be at the forefront of veterinary telemedicine, delivering high-quality care to pets and peace of mind to their owners through our secure, user-friendly platform. Your typical day will involve conducting virtual consultations via video calls, reviewing pet health histories, performing visual examinations, diagnosing common conditions, recommending treatment plans, prescribing medications when appropriate, and providing preventive care advice. You will also handle follow-up appointments, answer urgent queries, and collaborate with local emergency clinics when necessary. This role is perfect for a veterinarian who thrives in a tech-enabled environment and values the ability to set their own schedule while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements

Education and Licensure

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Active, unrestricted veterinary license in at least one U.S. state. Eligibility to obtain licenses in multiple states is highly desirable.
• DEA license (or ability to obtain one) for prescribing controlled substances where required.

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary hospital or clinic setting.
• Strong proficiency with digital communication tools, electronic health records (EHR), and telemedicine platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information in a clear, empathetic manner.
• Self-motivated and organized, capable of managing a full schedule of appointments independently.

Salary and Compensation

We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $85,000 to $130,000 USD per year, depending on your level of experience, specialty certifications, and geographic location. Our compensation package is designed to reward your expertise and dedication while ensuring financial stability.
