Key Responsibilities
Safe Vehicle Operation
Drive and operate heavy and tractor-trailer trucks to transport cargo safely and efficiently across assigned routes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle condition and load security.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate logs using ELD systems, comply with federal and state transportation regulations, and complete all necessary shipping documents and delivery reports.
Freight Handling
Load and unload cargo as needed, secure loads properly, and use appropriate safety equipment to prevent damage or injury during transport.
Communication
Stay in regular contact with dispatchers and logistics coordinators to receive updates, report delays, and coordinate delivery schedules.
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Class A) with clean driving record
- Minimum of 6 months of tractor-trailer driving experience (or completion of a certified CDL training program)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety
- Reliable communication skills and ability to follow GPS and routing instructions
- Flexible availability to accommodate varying delivery schedules
Salary Range
$52,000 – $72,000 USD/year
