Director of Clinical Services | 100% <a href="https://wehired.agency/jobs/" style="color:var(--primary-color); font-weight:600;">Remote</a> | Lead Clinical Excellence

We’re seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Clinical Services to remotely lead our clinical operations team, drive quality improvement initiatives, and ensure the highest standard of patient care across all service lines. If you’re a seasoned healthcare leader who thrives on building high-performing clinical teams and optimizing operational efficiency — all while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote work environment — this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

About the Role

As the Director of Clinical Services, you will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, overseeing the strategic direction and day-to-day management of clinical programs. Reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with department heads, physicians, nursing leadership, and compliance teams to ensure seamless, patient-centered care delivery. This is a fully remote position open to qualified candidates nationwide.

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Clinical Leadership

Develop, implement, and oversee clinical service line strategies aligned with organizational goals. You’ll set performance benchmarks, monitor key quality indicators, and drive continuous improvement across all departments under your leadership.

Team Development & Management

Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier clinical staff. You’ll build a culture of accountability, professional development, and collaboration — managing a distributed team of clinical managers, coordinators, and specialists across multiple locations.

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure all clinical operations comply with federal, state, and accreditation standards including CMS guidelines, HIPAA, TJC requirements, and state licensing regulations. Lead internal audits and prepare for external surveys.

Budget Oversight & Operational Efficiency

Manage multi-million-dollar departmental budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation without compromising the quality of patient care.

Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with executive leadership, medical staff, and external partners to align clinical initiatives with business objectives. Present clinical performance data and strategic recommendations to the board and C-suite.

Requirements

Education & Credentials

A Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field is required. Active RN licensure or relevant clinical licensure in good standing is expected.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role
  • Demonstrated experience directing multi-site or large-scale clinical operations
  • Proven track record of improving patient outcomes, reducing readmissions, and driving quality metrics
  • Experience with EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and healthcare analytics tools

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L responsibilities, and resource planning
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work environment with strong self-discipline and time management
  • Deep knowledge of value-based care models, population health strategies, and care coordination best practices
  • Board certifications such as CENP, FACHE, or NE-BC are strongly preferred

Salary Range & Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this Director of Clinical Services role ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 USD/year, depending on experience, credentials, and scope of responsibility. The compensation package also includes:

  • Annual performance bonus up to 15%
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Continuing education and professional development stipend
  • Home office stipend and technology allowance
