Are you a sharp, detail-driven cybersecurity professional looking to make a real impact without the daily commute? NexusGuard Technologies is hiring a Remote Information Security Analyst to join our elite global security operations team. You’ll work from the comfort of your home, defending enterprise-level infrastructure against evolving cyber threats — and we’re offering one of the most competitive remote security packages in the industry.
About the Role
As a Remote Information Security Analyst at NexusGuard Technologies, you will serve as a frontline defender of our clients’ digital ecosystems. You’ll monitor security events, investigate anomalies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement proactive measures to mitigate risk across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. This is a fully remote, permanent position — no contract, no relocation, no compromises.
You’ll collaborate directly with our Security Operations Center (SOC), IT engineering teams, and executive leadership to develop and enforce information security policies aligned with frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for staying ahead of threat actors, this role was built for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Sentinel, or QRadar.
- Perform threat detection, incident response, and forensic analysis on security events.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing coordination, and risk assessments.
- Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and harden systems.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats, malware trends, and regulatory changes.
- Support compliance audits including SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA initiatives.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in information security, SOC analysis, or a related cybersecurity role.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and common network security protocols.
- Experience with at least one major security framework (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with strong time management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Background in DevSecOps, container security, or zero-trust architecture.
- Prior experience conducting phishing simulations and security awareness training.
