About the Role

As a Freight, Stock, and Material Mover at Chicago Material Handling Co., you’ll be the backbone of our warehouse operations. Your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient movement of goods using a variety of equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts (training provided), and hand trucks. You’ll work closely with our inventory team to ensure stock levels are accurate and products are stored correctly. This role demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety protocols at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials onto and from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment.
• Move materials between storage areas, loading docks, and production lines using pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies promptly.
• Perform routine warehouse housekeeping and ensure work areas are clean and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures and use provided personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates who embody reliability and a strong work ethic. While previous warehouse experience is a plus, we offer comprehensive training for the right individual. The ideal candidate will possess:

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for forklift operation).
