About the Role
As our Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs that comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations (including OSHA standards). You'll conduct regular safety inspections, investigate incidents, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions. Your expertise will be crucial in training employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and regulatory compliance. You'll collaborate closely with management and frontline staff to embed safety into every aspect of our operations and drive continuous improvement in our safety performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Health, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a safety management role, preferably within a manufacturing, construction, or similar high-risk environment.
- Current OSHA 30-Hour General Industry or Construction Industry certification.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations (General Industry, Construction, Process Safety Management) and other relevant standards (ANSI, NFPA, etc.).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and training skills to effectively engage diverse audiences.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable safety improvement plans.
- Proficiency with safety management software and reporting tools.
