General Manager in Wisconsin: Lead a $50M Manufacturing Facility

About the Role

As our General Manager, you are the ultimate leader of our Wisconsin-based manufacturing hub. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you will have complete autonomy over a 200,000 sq. ft. facility and a dedicated team of 200+ employees. Your mission is to elevate operational efficiency, safety, and profitability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Your Key Impact Will Include:

  • P&L Ownership: Manage a $50M+ annual budget, driving revenue growth and cost-control initiatives to exceed profitability targets.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all production, engineering, maintenance, and logistics functions to maximize throughput, quality (Six Sigma/Lean environment), and on-time delivery.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and inspire a diverse leadership team and workforce. Champion a safety-first culture with a goal of zero recordable incidents.
  • Strategic Execution: Translate corporate strategy into actionable plant-level plans, leading capital projects and new product introductions.
  • Customer & Community Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers and local stakeholders, reinforcing our reputation as a community partner.

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

We need a hands-on leader with a track record of success in a similar manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is part strategist, part coach, and part problem-solver.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a General Manager, Plant Manager, or Senior Operations role.
  • Proven ability to manage a P&L and deliver consistent year-over-year improvements in efficiency, cost, and safety metrics.
  • Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies (certifications like Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus).
  • Exceptional talent for developing leaders and engaging frontline teams in a union or non-union setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA is highly desirable.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and willing to be based in Wisconsin.
