<a href="https://wehired.agency/jobs/" style="color:var(--primary-color); font-weight:600;">Remote</a> Mechanical Designer | Global Engineering Team | Shape Tomorrow’s Engineering Landscape

We are currently seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to join our innovative global engineering organization. This is a fully remote opportunity where you can work from any location with reliable internet while contributing to world-class projects spanning automotive, aerospace, medical devices, and industrial automation. Whether you specialize in complex component design or scalable product systems, your expertise will drive meaningful progress. The ideal candidate thrives in autonomous environments and values the flexibility that remote work provides.

About the Role

The Mechanical Designer on our team will serve as a key contributor to our multidisciplinary engineering group, transforming conceptual ideas into detailed, buildable mechanical solutions. You will engage in end-to-end design processes, beginning with preliminary feasibility studies and advancing through detailed 3D modeling, prototype development, and production preparation phases. Your work directly impacts product viability, manufacturing efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction. Success in this role requires both technical mastery and strong communication skills to bridge the gap between engineering teams and business stakeholders, ensuring designs meet both performance targets and economic realities.

Key Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include producing accurate 3D CAD models using industry-leading software to represent mechanical parts, assemblies, and subsystems. You will conduct rigorous stress, thermal, and motion analyses to validate design strength and functionality under typical and extreme operational loads. Prototyping coordination is essential—you will collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure designs translate effectively into physical products. Documentation excellence is paramount; all drawing sets, bills of materials, and assembly instructions must meet ISO 9001 standards. Continuous improvement is valued here, so actively reviewing competitor designs and applying emerging methodologies to enhance performance and sustainability.

Requirements

The minimum qualification is a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field. Proficiency in at least one major CAD system—such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or AutoCAD—is non-negotiable. Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software and hands-on knowledge of material properties will be a significant advantage. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), kinematics, dynamics, and basic manufacturing processes like CNC machining, injection molding, and additive manufacturing. A concise portfolio showcasing completed mechanical designs, alongside references from previous employers, greatly enhances your application.

What We Offer

We provide a competitive salary range of $45,000 – $65,000 USD per year, offering clear progression paths based on skill development and demonstrable project impact. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and mental health coverage, plus a flexible PTO policy of up to 20 vacation days annually. The remote arrangement allows you to design freely from home or any preferred workspace, while our advanced tech infrastructure ensures seamless collaboration with global colleagues across time zones. Additional perks feature quarterly professional development budgets for certifications and courses, access to exclusive reference libraries, and regular virtual team-building events. Join a supportive community dedicated to pushing mechanical engineering boundaries and delivering world-changing solutions.
