About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional, your primary responsibilities will include conducting virtual check-ins with clients, providing emotional support through video calls, assisting with daily living skill development, and collaborating with family members and care teams. What You’ll Do:

• Conduct regular virtual wellness checks and supportive conversations with clients
• Guide individuals through daily routines and personal care activities via video assistance
• Support clients in achieving personal development and life skills goals
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions and progress notes
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and case managers
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support when needed
• Facilitate virtual social activities and community engagement opportunities

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience in direct support, caregiving, or related human services field
• Access to reliable computer, high-speed internet, and webcam for virtual sessions
• Ability to pass background screening and maintain required clearances
• Strong communication skills and empathetic, patient-centered approach
• Flexibility to accommodate varying client schedules and emergency situations
• Commitment to person-centered care principles and dignity of risk

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities
• Knowledge of behavior support plans and positive behavior reinforcement techniques
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital documentation systems
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range:

$45,000 – $65,000 USD per year (based on experience and hours worked)

Work Environment
