About the Role

As a Remote Registered Nurse – ICU, you will bridge critical care expertise with modern telehealth to support acutely ill patients and on-site ICU teams. In this 100% work-from-home position, you will conduct virtual assessments, interpret real-time monitoring data, coordinate care transitions, and provide clinical guidance that reduces complications and shortens lengths of stay. You will collaborate daily with intensivists, respiratory therapists, case managers, and bedside nurses to optimize ventilator management, hemodynamic stability, and medication titration. Core Responsibilities

• Perform remote assessments using live monitoring feeds, lab trends, and electronic health records to detect early warning signs in ICU patients.

• Lead care coordination for transfers, step-down planning, and discharge readiness to improve flow and reduce readmissions.
• Educate patients and families on critical illness trajectories, device management, and post-ICU recovery through secure video and messaging.
• Document thoroughly in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring accurate coding, timely orders, and seamless handoffs.

Requirements

Non-Negotiables

• Active, unencumbered RN license in good standing; multi-state licensure or willingness to obtain as required.
• Minimum of 2–3 years recent ICU or critical care experience with ventilated, complex postoperative, or trauma populations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting hemodynamics, ventilator management, advanced pharmacology, and sepsis protocols.
• Strong command of EHR systems, remote monitoring tools, and HIPAA-compliant communication platforms.
• Exceptional clinical judgment, urgency calibration, and communication skills in high-stakes environments.

• Certifications such as CCRN, CSC, or CMC.

Salary Range

$80,000 – $110,000 USD/year, commensurate with experience, licensure footprint, and specialty certifications. Additional performance and quality incentives may apply.
