As a Remote Mechanical Designer, you’ll translate complex concepts into precise, manufacturable designs using industry‑leading CAD software. About the Role

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar CAD platforms.
• Perform stress analysis, tolerance studies, and material selection to ensure designs meet performance and cost targets.
• Generate technical documentation, including bills of materials, assembly instructions, and manufacturing tolerances.
• Coordinate with electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers to integrate mechanical subsystems into complete product solutions.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices to streamline design processes.

Key Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical design for consumer, industrial, or automotive products.
• Solid proficiency with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA; familiarity with ANSYS or other FEA tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, 3D printing).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration across time zones.

Technical Skills

• CAD modeling & drafting (2D/3D)
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) & CFD basics
• Pro/E, Creo, or NX experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PLM systems
• Basic programming (Python/Matlab) for automation is a bonus
