About the Role

As a Remote Electrical Designer, you’ll play a critical role in developing electrical systems and schematics for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This position offers full autonomy with regular virtual check-ins and team collaboration sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
• Perform calculations for wire sizing, voltage drop, and load analysis
• Review and interpret project specifications and building codes
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical and structural engineers
• Ensure all designs comply with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes
• Prepare documentation packages and as-built drawings
• Troubleshoot design issues and provide technical support during construction phases

Salary Range

$65,000 – $95,000 USD/year

The final compensation offer will be based on your experience, certifications, and skill level. We also offer performance-based bonuses and annual reviews with growth opportunities.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in electrical design for commercial or industrial projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of electrical theory and circuit design
• Experience with load calculations and power distribution systems
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code)
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in documentation
