About the Role

As a Health Data Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and business strategy. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and validate clinical, operational, and financial healthcare data from multiple sources including EHR systems (Epic, Cerner), claims databases, and patient registries.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Perform statistical analyses to identify trends, outliers, and opportunities for quality improvement, cost reduction, and population health management.
• Build predictive models to forecast patient outcomes, readmission risks, and resource utilization.
• Translate complex findings into clear, compelling narratives for clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare data privacy regulations.
• Partner with IT and clinical informatics teams to optimize data pipelines and improve data governance.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, or a related quantitative field (Master’s preferred).
• 3+ years of professional experience in healthcare data analysis, clinical analytics, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience working with EHR data, claims data, or value-based care metrics.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical programming language (Python or R).
• Strong working knowledge of data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
