Lead Software Engineer

Disney is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to join its Disney Signature Experience team in Celebration, Osceola County, US. This on‑site role designs and delivers immersive digital experiences for Disney’s world‑renowned vacation brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of high‑performance, scalable software solutions for Disney Parks, Resorts, Cruise Line, Vacation Club and related digital platforms.
• Mentor and guide a cross‑functional team of engineers, fostering best practices in code quality, testing, and continuous integration.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and data scientists to translate creative concepts into robust technical implementations.
• Drive technical road‑maps, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure alignment with Disney’s security and performance standards.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery, from requirements gathering through production monitoring and incident resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior engineering role.
• Expertise in modern languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, React, Node.js) and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong understanding of micro‑services architecture, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work onsite in Celebration or relocate.

Preferred Experience

• Background in entertainment, hospitality, or large‑scale consumer applications.
• Experience with immersive technologies (AR/VR, IoT, real‑time streaming).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps culture.

Compensation & Benefits
