Job Summary

Nemera is seeking a skilled Tooling Technician (Mold Maker) to join its team in Buffalo Grove, Lake County, US. This role is responsible for maintaining tooling, repairing molds, and supporting production to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and modification of injection molds and related tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and tooling staff to troubleshoot mold issues and develop effective solutions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, part specifications, and ISO standards to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, maintenance logs, and tool inventories.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and enhance tool life.
• Adhere to all company policies, including health and safety regulations and ISO quality standards.
• Assist in the set‑up and changeover of molds on production lines, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians on best practices and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining, tooling, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in mold making, repair, or tooling maintenance, preferably in a medical device or high‑precision manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CNC machines, grinders, EDM, and hand tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and OSHA safety standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet production schedules.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
