Shield AI is seeking a Senior Engineer, Software Integration and Test (R4461) in San Diego, San Diego County, US. This role leads the design, development, and execution of integration and verification testing for advanced autonomous aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define test strategies, plans, and procedures for complex software‑hardware integration projects.
• Develop automated test frameworks and scripts using Python, C++, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including hardware, firmware, and AI specialists—to ensure seamless system integration.
• Execute system‑level verification, performance, and safety tests on V‑BAT and X‑BAT platforms.
• Analyze test data, generate detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
• Maintain compliance with aerospace standards such as DO‑178C and MIL‑STD‑882.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software integration, test engineering, or systems verification for defense/aerospace applications.
• Proficiency with embedded systems, real‑time operating systems, and communication protocols (UART, CAN, Ethernet).
