  • Lead incident response efforts, performing forensic analysis and coordinating remediation steps.
  • Provide guidance to developers and IT teams on secure coding, configuration hardening, and cloud security best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and security technologies through continuous learning and threat intelligence sharing.
  • Assist in security awareness training programs to foster a culture of security across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response.
  • Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, QRadar, Elastic Stack, Wireshark, Nessus, or Qualys.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, GCIH, CISSP, or OSCP) are highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with threat hunting, malware analysis, or red‑team/blue‑team exercises.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, or SOC 2.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and tool development.
  • Background in DevSecOps or container security (Docker, Kubernetes).

Salary Range

Based on industry standards for remote cybersecurity roles, the expected compensation is $85,000 – $120,000 USD per year, adjusted for experience, certifications, and geographic cost‑of‑living factors.
