Job Summary

The Manufacturing Plant Accountant role at SSW Advanced Technologies is a remote position based in Madison, Davidson County, TN, supporting a Tennessee manufacturing plant with up to 25% travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production‑related financial reporting.
• Prepare month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close packages for the plant.
• Analyze variances, monitor standard costs, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries in AS/400 (IBM i) and assist with the upcoming SAP implementation (planned CY26).
• Collaborate with the Regional Controller to ensure compliance with corporate policies and GAAP.
• Support internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure tracking for the facility.
• Travel up to 25% monthly to the manufacturing site for on‑site financial reviews and process improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance.
• Proficiency with AS/400 (IBM i) systems; SAP experience a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of inventory accounting methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with on‑site teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
