Job Summary
Wade Trim is hiring a Power Substation Area Lead in Dallas, Texas. This senior engineering role oversees the planning, design, and execution of power substation projects while ensuring safety, compliance, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering substation design, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with utilities, contractors, and regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, NERC, OSHA, and local codes.
- Perform technical reviews, load studies, and equipment specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and support professional development programs.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean and safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; PE preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in power substation design, construction, or operations.
- Proven leadership of large, complex projects with budgets > $10M.
- Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution systems, protection schemes, and SCADA.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
