This role is ideal for a curious problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to see their research translate into tangible user value. As a fully remote team member, you’ll partner with engineers, product managers, and other researchers across time zones, contributing to a culture of transparency, experimentation, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge quantitative research to address business-critical questions and improve product performance.
- Build, test, and productionize predictive models using Python, R, or Julia, leveraging frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Perform rigorous statistical analysis, validate model assumptions, and ensure reproducibility of research findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research outputs into live systems, monitoring performance and iterating based on feedback.
- Author clear, concise documentation and presentations to communicate complex methodologies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in quantitative research, data science, or AI/ML development, with a strong portfolio of published work or deployed models.
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical research into practical, scalable solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
Technical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn).
- Solid experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX) and model deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, or similar).
- Strong foundation in probability theory, statistical inference, optimization, and experimental design.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI Platform, or Azure ML) and version control best practices using Git.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $85,000 – $150,000 USD/year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise. Additional performance-based bonuses and equity options may be available depending on seniority and role scope.
As a fully remote employee, you’ll receive a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth:
