Job Summary

The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, US is seeking a Manager of Communications to lead its communications, marketing, and public relations efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that support FPA’s mission and member interests.
• Create, edit, and distribute content for newsletters, press releases, website, social media, and industry publications.
• Design and produce marketing collateral, brochures, and event materials.
• Manage the association’s media relations, including pitching stories and handling inquiries.
• Oversee database management, ensuring accurate member and stakeholder information.
• Coordinate internal communications, ensuring consistent messaging across departments.
• Track and analyze communication metrics to measure effectiveness and inform future initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or public affairs, preferably in a trade association or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite or similar) and content management systems.
• Strong project management abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership, members, and external media.

Compensation

Salary: $75,539.38 per year.
