About This Position
Join CIMA+ as an Intermediate/Senior Environmental Planner in Guelph, Wellington region, Canada. Work with a dedicated Earth and Environment team that embeds sustainability into every project for public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support environmental planning studies, impact assessments, and permitting processes.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and certified technicians to develop integrated, green solutions.
- Conduct field investigations, data analysis, and site assessments to inform project recommendations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, technical memoranda, and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Advise on regulatory compliance, mitigation strategies, and sustainable design practices.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Planning, Geography, Ecology, or related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in environmental planning or consulting.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario environmental legislation and permitting processes.
- Proficiency with GIS, environmental modeling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
