About the Role

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist, you will meticulously review and process medical claims, ensuring compliance with payer policies and federal regulations. You will analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), resolve denials, and communicate directly with providers and patients to achieve timely reimbursement. Your expertise will contribute to maximizing revenue cycle efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Collaboration & Communication

Despite the remote setting, you will collaborate daily with clinical staff, billing supervisors, and IT support through video conferencing and secure messaging platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for clarifying complex reimbursement issues and providing guidance to frontline teams.

Requirements

Education & Experience

A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Billing, or a related field is required. Candidates with 2-4 years of hands‑on experience in healthcare reimbursement, preferably in a fast‑paced environment, will be given priority.

Technical Skills

Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, as well as familiarity with billing software like Epic Resolute, 3M CodeFinder, or Kareo, is essential. Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis, and a solid understanding of HIPAA compliance are also necessary.

Analytical Ability
