About This Position
Uesco Industries Inc is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join its team in Alsip, Cook County, US. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing single and double girder cranes across a range of capacities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on‑site installation, inspection, and preventive maintenance of top‑running and under‑running crane systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and execute timely repairs.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals to ensure proper crane configuration.
- Provide customer training on safe operation and routine upkeep of equipment.
- Maintain detailed service reports and update maintenance logs in the company’s ERP system.
- Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to support custom‑designed crane projects.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or apprenticeship in industrial mechanics, electromechanical service, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience servicing overhead or gantry cranes.
- Proficiency with dual‑motor drive systems, hydraulic circuits, and PLC controls.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel to client sites within the region.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Compensation & Benefits
