Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Fundraising & Philanthropy in planning and executing fundraising campaigns.
- Research and identify prospective donors, corporate partners, and grant opportunities.
- Prepare donor outreach materials, thank‑you letters, and impact reports.
- Support event coordination, including logistics, promotion, and post‑event follow‑up.
- Maintain donor database accuracy and generate regular analytics reports.
- Collaborate with marketing team to create compelling storytelling content for social media and newsletters.
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and handling correspondence.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program (e.g., nonprofit management, communications, business).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for community development and experience working with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with donor management software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
Work Environment
Location: Scarborough, ON (Hybrid – a blend of remote work and on‑site presence at Tropicana Community Services). Duration: 6‑16 weeks, full‑time, June to August 2026.
