Enterprise Data & AI Platform Architect – Cloud Solutions – AIRLHV

NavitasPartners is seeking an Enterprise Data & AI Platform Architect – Cloud Solutions to work remotely from Gatineau, Outaouais, Canada. This contract/full‑time role will design and implement cloud‑native architectures for analytics, machine learning and Generative AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable, secure cloud data platforms supporting big‑data, analytics and AI workloads.
• Architect end‑to‑end data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, storage and governance.
• Integrate machine‑learning and GenAI model training, deployment and monitoring into the data platform.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Define best‑practice cloud architecture standards, cost‑optimization strategies and security controls.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay current with emerging cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI technologies to recommend innovations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing cloud‑native data and AI platforms.
• Strong expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated data services (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, Data Lake).
• Proficiency with data engineering tools (Spark, Kafka, Airflow) and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
• Hands‑on experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer, or Google Professional Data Engineer.
• Experience with Generative AI model integration and prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations and security best practices.
